About Me

So glad you stopped by, my name is Pamela, welcome to my blog!  I just recently joined the blogging world and by the looks of it {by visiting other blogs} I have a lot to learn but in the meantime I am just going to do my own thing and enjoy what I love and that is writing!

I have been married for 22 years and am a mother of two boys.  My oldest son will be 21 in Sept and my youngest is 19 and I have two energetic dogs who are two yrs old!  My husband, children and dogs sure do keep me on my toes!

Writing poetry is my passion and through my poetry I have met a lot of wonderful people.  The people I have met and have corresponded with sure have been a blessing to my heart and remain to be even to this day.

In 1998 I received my diploma through the Institute of Children's Literature - Writing for Magazines.  I wrote a story titled "Sneezy Wheezy's Horrible Sneeze" - when my youngest son was little he had sneezed and told me he had a horrible sneeze and that is how that story came to life.  My instructor loved the story and told me I should submit it but never did; maybe one day I will.

On May 3, 2003 my poem "Circle of Light" was published in my local newspaper after I read an article in  April about a family whose son was in Iraq.  The family contacted me and invited me to their son's homecoming - what a HONOR that was!

In 2004 my poem "The Pain Within" was published in Women Emerging Courageous.

In 2005 I had my very first book published "The Light of Love - A Collection of Inspirational and Heartfelt Poetry.  A dream come true!

My poems have been displayed on Judy's Realm and Living Each Day.  I do not write poetry as much as I use to but I still write when time permits.

In spite of the obstacles in life that I must face and overcome I am very grateful that God has given me another day to do what is right by him and for him. No matter what kind of day I am having every day is a good day because I am able to enjoy and embrace the blessings in which God has given and continues to give to me on a daily basis.

Always remember:

"Laughter is the best medicine for the soul and love is what gives meaning to life."
